Richard and I were so lucky to see Mumford and Sons in Gateshead this week. The concert was ... mind-blowing!!! The acoustics at the Sage are phenomenal and Mumford and Sons are extraordinary: huge mix of instruments and sounds, great voices, great lyrics and they just have so much fun on stage. They played quite a few of their new songs - and I loved all of them. I can't wait for their new album to come out in September! We were immensely lucky to have seats so close to the stage - had it been an outdoor concert, there's no way we would have gotten that close (plus we would have gotten soaked in this British rain!).
