I will now be working for the Children's Society as a Project Worker. The Project is called SMART - it helps migrant, asylum seeking and refugee families and young people in Newcastle. I'll be doing case work, group work, activities, drop-in sessions and more!
No more job searching, no more night shifts, no more Visa issues. Bring on the good challenges, the 30 hours per week leaving plenty of time for music playing, the variety in work, the permanency, the decent pay, the working in a good environment, the joy of helping migrants, the wonderfullness of working with people from so many different countries, and more. Now hopefully my colleagues will be as lovely as in my last job!
