Book - 'Persepolis' by Marjane Satrapi

I haven't quite finished 'We' yet, but I've had time to read another book in between called 'Persepolis'. This extraordinary book, written as a comic strip, tells the true story of Marjane Satrapi, as a little girl growing up in Iran during the Islamic Revolution. Here is the synopsis: 

'In powerful black and white comic strip images, Satrapi tells the story of her life in Tehran from ages six to fourteen, years that saw the overthrow of the Shah's regime, the triumph of the Islamic Revolution, and the devastating effects of war with Iraq. The intelligent and outspoken only child of committed Marxists and the great-granddaughter of one of Iran's last emperors, Marjane bears witness to a childhood uniquely entwined with the history of her country.' 

Marjane wrote a second book, a follow-up to 'Persepolis', and picks up where the first book finished. It's subtitled 'The Story of a Return'. 'Persepolis' has also been turned into an animated motion picture. I've just bought it today and I'm really looking forward to watching it.
