For Christmas, Richard bought me tickets to see Two Door Cinema Club and Metronomy in Newcastle, at the O2 Academy. I love this venue, it reminds me of the Metropolis in Montreal. I'm not a huge fan of Metronomy, but they were amazing live. You could really hear the various beats and different sounds, so much better than on their album. Their album sounds so introverted ... but live, their music projected fantastically. And Two Door Cinema Club was brilliant - fun happy music with good beats and cool sounds. Awesome evening finished by delicious mojitos at the Salsa Café.
